Mackenzie was first introduced to yoga at the age of 10 through both her mother and an elementary school teacher. At the age of 16, being an anxious teen coping through a depressive period, she picked up yoga in an attempt to motivate herself to do something. Although it was initially difficult, she built a devoted personal practice which allowed her to connect her mind and body. Falling in love with the art of yoga, Mackenzie completed her 200hr teacher training through Naked Truth Yoga at 18.

Mackenzie encourages students to leave their thoughts at the door when they step onto their mat and accept any that may pop up during their practice. She believes the mat should be a safe and welcoming place to step onto; however, she encourages you to challenge yourself by finding your edge.
